Purpose-built for rapid access
Vehicle escape tools only have value when they are close enough to reach. The resqme is small enough for a keyring, patrol bag or dedicated in-vehicle location, while providing two functions relevant to vehicle entrapment.
Spring-loaded breaker
A hardened, chrome-plated steel point is activated by pressing the head firmly against tempered vehicle glass.
Compact placement
At 7.6 cm long and 17 g, it can remain accessible without occupying useful space in a vehicle or equipment bag.
Reusable mechanism
The glass-breaking mechanism resets after activation, and the seatbelt cutter is designed for repeated use.

Pull the tool away from its removable clip to expose the recessed cutting blade.

Draw the cutter through a jammed seatbelt at approximately 45 degrees.

Press the black tool head firmly against a lower corner of a tempered side window.
Operational Limitation
Know the glass before you rely on the tool
For tempered glass only
The resqme glass breaker will not break laminated glass. Windscreens are laminated, and laminated side windows are increasingly used in some vehicles.
Check the permanent marking near the lower corner of each window for the words tempered or laminated. If the marking is unclear, confirm the glazing specification with the vehicle manufacturer.
